Tools for Final Cut Pro editors

Edit-Tools

Final Cut Pro workflow extensions for the tedious parts. CoreTrim handles source exports, trimmed media archives, complete source copies, diagnostics, and safer handoffs. FontAudition WFE handles the font decision, without leaving the timeline.

30 second CoreTrim reel

Source exports, media decisions, reports, and a clean handoff back to Final Cut.

The demo is cut for working Final Cut Pro editors: CoreTrim shows source export decisions, media copying and trimming, reports, diagnostics, and the cloned project export you import back into Final Cut.

CoreTrim

Archive the sources your project actually needs.

CoreTrim is a Final Cut Pro workflow extension, not a standalone desktop app. Final Cut Pro must be installed on your Mac to open and use it. CoreTrim gives editors a safer way to create project media sets. Export trimmed sources to reduce storage, or copy untrimmed sources when the job calls for a full source clone. CoreTrim keeps the original media and original edit untouched, then produces a cloned project export for reimport into Final Cut.

  • Trim project media with handles, multicam awareness, and clear export reports.
  • Copy full original sources for handoffs that need complete media files.
  • See warnings before risky choices and keep diagnostic detail when support is needed.

FontAudition

Pick the font with the words you actually have to deliver.

FontAudition WFE is a Final Cut Pro workflow extension, not a standalone desktop app. Final Cut Pro must be installed on your Mac to open and use it. It opens beside your timeline so you can compare type against your real title text — then drag the font you chose straight into the edit.

  • Audition fonts against your own title, lower third, caption, or super — not a generic sample.
  • Keep the type decision next to the shot it belongs to, without app-switching.
  • A standalone FontAudition for macOS, for work outside Final Cut Pro, is in development.

Built for working rooms

Small tools, serious safeguards.

Edit-Tools focuses on the tedious source-media moments that slow down real Final Cut Pro work: preparing smaller trimmed archives, copying complete source sets, and handing projects to another editor without turning the process into a scavenger hunt.
