Privacy Policy

Summary

We do not collect, store, sell, or share personal data. CoreTrim contains no analytics, no tracking, no accounts, and makes no network connections of its own. The only personal information we ever hold is an email you choose to send us, and we use it only to reply to you.

The CoreTrim App

CoreTrim is a Final Cut Pro workflow extension. All processing — reading your project, analyzing media, trimming, copying, and writing exports and reports — happens entirely on your Mac. Your projects, media, file names, and reports never leave your computer through CoreTrim.

Purchases and purchase verification are handled by Apple through the Mac App Store using Apple's StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment details, Apple ID, or purchase history; Apple's own privacy policy governs those systems.

If you choose to report a problem, CoreTrim prepares a diagnostics package on your Mac and opens your email application so you can review and send it yourself. Diagnostics may include application logs, project structure, media file names and paths, and basic system configuration — never your media content. Nothing is sent unless you send it, and you can inspect the package before you do. Diagnostics you email us are used solely to investigate your report and are deleted when no longer needed.

This Website

edit-tools.com is a static website. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking scripts, embeds no third-party content, and has no user accounts. Like virtually all websites, the server that hosts these pages may keep standard, short-lived technical logs (such as IP address, request time, and page requested) for security and operational purposes; we do not use these logs to identify visitors.

Email

If you email us — for support, diagnostics, or anything else — we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to respond to you and to resolve your issue. We do not add you to mailing lists, share your address, or use it for marketing.

Your Rights

Because we collect nothing beyond correspondence you initiate, exercising your privacy rights is simple: email us and we will confirm what we hold (typically: your past emails to us, or nothing) and delete it on request. Depending on where you live — including the EU/EEA (GDPR), the UK, and California (CCPA) — you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data. We honor such requests regardless of where you live. We do not sell personal data.

Children

Our software and website are professional tools, not directed at children, and — consistent with the rest of this policy — collect no data from anyone, children included.

Changes to This Policy

If our practices ever change — for example, if a future product feature requires a network service — we will update this page before the change takes effect and revise the effective date above.
